Promoting Education and Peace Through Football

Football Unites the World is a global movement to inspire, unite and develop through football. It brings people together, all over the world, to celebrate the beautiful game. It represents the commitment of those who live football – be they players, coaches or fans – to shape our communities and society.

Futbol 4 Peace, Football For Peace, Futbol por la Paz, Football por la Paix, Futebol pela Paz

was created and founded by United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan, Global Football Legends Elias Figueroa, Carlos Alberto Torres, Eric Wynalda and Teofilo Cubillas and FutbolMasters Managing Director Steve Leighton. The project was unveiled at UN Headquarters NYC with the United Nations Office of Sport for Development and Peace.

Further documentation of The “King Of Football” as a Founder of Football For Peace through this unique 'telex' when we represented him at the inaugural FIFPRO World XI Awards at the BBC Center in London and accepted on his behalf the 'Legend Award'. It's very historic, considering it came from Pelé before emails and fax machines. NOTE how he signed the telex, Edson Arantes do Nascimento=Pelé, his full legal name.
